I have had my fair share of crazy penguins and like your message.

It seems there are many people that just reach (or jump on) to consume other peoples' energy rather than find their own way.

Like you, I have chosen not to allow anymore 'Crazy Penguins' to consume any more of my energy or time.

Thanks for your reminder.

"We are all surrounded by crazy penguins. It’s up to us if we want to allow them to jump on or not."

Great post! So many don't even take a shot and give up before trying. Maybe this will inspire others to give it all they have.

As you shared: "What I discovered is that not doing anything is far worse than pursuing something and failing at it."

@AJ Ogaard Thanks for your comment. Yes, it is hard but also somewhat rewarding. I wanted to let people know that it does get easier and you will get through...one step at a time, one day at a time.

Playing by the rules doesn't really pay off the way we were taught. You brought a lot of consistency to the world around you. Many may have noticed and I am sure some took you for granted but the bottom line is your gave it your best.

Your life has changed and being a single mother (parent) has it's challenges yet the list you share makes a lot of sense and those single parents out there should take notice of these important ways of living life. Keep it simple, as you point out and do the best you can without taking things too seriously.

"You can survive anything."

Yeah that sounds like a cliché at first but it's true, you really have to remember what other people live to feel better about your life. Thanks for reminding me this.

@CashewStyle So true Alicia. We have a hard time (maybe even harder!) accepting praise as we do accepting blame. Good point.

It's easier to blame others, but nothing quite lights the fire under my butt than when I realize it's all my fault, because then I need to make up for it, make it better. Additionally, when I do something amazing, it's easier to accept praise and congratulations, something I used to brush off before.

Garbage might have risen to popularity in the ’90s before social networking was prevalent like it is today, but they’re not strangers to using it as a platform to promote themselves.

Great way to look at lifes obsticles in a different way. Asking "why me" as you put it doesn't make the sitiation any better but pulling back and asking yourself how can you make this challenge into a benefit speaks loudly.

Hitting the pause button and asking "how bad do you want it" will open your mind and help create new ways of finding the right path to obtain your goals.
