“There are no telling how many miles you have to run while chasing a dream.”
We hear our own breathing rasping in our ears, the rhythmic pounding of our hearts, the burning in our lungs.
Running, running, running. Steady…consistent…towards our goal. Never wavering, never stopping, our thighs on fire, our feet pounding on the pavement. We are in our “zone,” focused.
Mile-after-mile, day-after-day, month-after-month, we physically run, steadily getting stronger
Chasing a dream is no different. It takes day-after-day of effort, minute-after-minute of work, sacrifice-after-sacrifice. And just like with running, we want to give up (we need to give up—we so very much need to give up), but the only way to succeed is to bust through the fatigue and resistance to the other side.
Every time you want to give up, remember how if feels to run. Remember how if feels to hurt. Remember how it feels to win.
Chase your dreams. Don’t ever, ever give up.
